Emerald Gaze

Sean Rush’s Emerald Gaze (2021) is an intimate oil study on raw Belgian linen, enhanced with cobalt-infused pigments and a radiant 24K gold halo. The organic linen serves as a natural midtone, allowing brushstrokes to build subtle depth and quite kinetic energy.

At its heart is a contemplative eyescape: luminous green eyes rendered with soft realism, encircled by abstract, fragmented brushwork that gestures toward emotional movement and inner reflection. The vivid cobalt contrasts with shimmering gold and warm flesh tones to heighten psychological presence .
